<p>What is Five for Friday? One question, five answers, with your Build Your Wedding Business hosts Chris Jaeger and Rick Brewer.</p>
<p>Today Rick Brewer answers: &#8220;What’s the best way to deal with the “I just want a price bride?”</p>
<p>(1) Always tell her right away, &#8220;I&#8217;ll be happy to give you a price.&#8221; It&#8217;s very important that you RELIEVE the issue of her thinking you are holding back. If you hold back, you immediately create an adversarial relationship, and that&#8217;s NEVER a good thing!</p>
<p>(2) Tell her that you want to give her an accurate price based on what she wants (this requires a little more than blurting out numbers).</p>
<p>(3) If she is still resistant to a conversation about her wedding plans and what she REALLY wants, I&#8217;d give her a range and ask which package/range she wants to talk about.</p>
<p>This will get the conversation moving in the right direction and away from &#8220;just price.&#8221; When this happens, now you know more about what she really wants.</p>
<p>(4) The key is to get her to talk with you and engage in a conversation about her wedding and what she wants. You want to be helpful, almost a COACH &#8211; not come off as salesperson.</p>
<p>This will lower any preconcieved notions she might have about buying wedding services as well as her defenses. At that point, you&#8217;ll have a better idea if she and you are a good match &#8211; and can move forward in the sales process.</p>
<p>(5) If at this point it&#8217;s STILL only about price, if she&#8217;s is not willing to cooperate, and it&#8217;s only going to be about price, it might be time to bail-out.</p>
<p>Remember the SIX SW&#8217;s: (1) some will, (2) some won&#8217;t, (3) so what, (4) someone&#8217;s waiting, (5) stoping whining, (6) start working.</p>
